About
Rob Morton
Rob Morton
was born and raised in Calloway County, Ky., and has
been farmer and a successful business man since
1979.
Over 25
years ago, after buying his first truck he began his
experience in trucking, hauling and land clearing,
working with the local farmers. Soon realizing that
he was a good equipment operator he began branching
out into grading land, digging ponds, building
driveways, building waterways, retention walls, site
preparation and site work, while maintaining his
trucking and hauling operation. Continually growing,
and already having a backhoe, he purchased his first
bull dozer in 2000, soon followed by an excavator.
Although he preferred to be a "hands on" operator,
the growth of his business required hiring
experienced and professional operators. With these
operators on a full time basis, his jobs continued
to grow in scope and size.
During all
of this time his dump trucks continued to run and in
2006 he purchased 4 new Mack Dump trucks. At the end
of 2008, in anticipation of a growing workload a new
2009 D6T Bulldozer was purchased. Rob Morton has
retained his "hands on" attitude and continues to be
involved in all on going projects. He now employs a
General Manager, 5 truck drivers, 2 equipment
operators and laborers. He has always hired
experienced and knowledgeable people and has an
exemplary safety record over the past 30 years. His
major concern has always been to ensure that his
customers receive a quality job and their
satisfaction is always upper most in his mind.

Eric Jenkins
Rob Morton
Enterprises LLC considers itself fortunate to have
Eric Jenkins now working for us as our General
Manager. Eric has worked for Eagle Properties of
Paducah, Kentucky and more recently, the well known
Haydon Brothers Contracting of Springfield,
Kentucky. He has over 15 years supervisory
experience working for these companies on both major
highway and site work. Because of his work in
Kentucky he is very familiar with all KDOT and OSHA
regulations and requirements.
Eric is in
charge of our daily work and has successfully
managed as many as 5 jobs simultaneously with over
60 people working under him. His management skills
have made it possible for him to meet all schedules
and bring his jobs to completion on time and under
budget.

Eric's individual qualifications are:

Possesses the knowledge to read and understand
blue prints and highway plans, cut and fill
gradients

10 years as Project Manager on KDOT jobs

Trimble GPS trained and qualified

Heavy
equipment operator

Understanding and knowledge of how to budget a
job and how budgeting relates to the field work
at hand

Trained for underground work

Possessing a high degree of management and
people skills
Scheduling
is the driving force behind any construction and
Eric has excelled in this area. From keeping a job
on schedule and on budget to scheduling people and
equipment to ordering and delivery of materials to
scheduling sub-contractors in a timely and efficient
way, Eric is more than capable of all. Eric has and
can do it all.
It is no wonder why Rob Morton Enterprises LLC is
